Industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is an annual plant primarily cultivated for its fiber and seeds. It thrives in well-drained, nutrient-rich soils with adequate moisture, and its rapid growth minimizes the need for herbicides.

Sowing typically occurs from mid-March to mid-April, depending on climatic conditions. Ideal temperatures for cultivation range from 19°C to 26°C, with at least 14 hours of daylight.

Hemp has high water requirements, particularly during the flowering stage and seed maturation. Harvesting takes place 100-150 days after sowing, depending on the intended production purpose. Specialized machinery is used to harvest in two stages, ensuring optimal fiber and seed quality

Cannabidiol (CBD) is the second most abundant cannabinoid in cannabis and offers numerous health benefits without producing psychoactive effects. It is widely used to manage anxiety, epilepsy, chronic pain, as well as various mental and physical disorders. CBD also helps alleviate PTSD symptoms and supports the management of neurological and metabolic conditions without the risk of addiction. Key benefits of CBD may include:

Cannabigerol (CBG) is a key cannabinoid, often referred to as the ‘mother’ of all cannabinoids because it is the precursor from which many others, such as CBD and THC, are derived. More biomass is needed to extract CBG compared to CBD, and crops must be harvested earlier to achieve higher CBG levels.

The main difference between these two cannabinoids lies in their concentration within the plant and the extraction process. CBD is more abundant and easier to extract, whereas CBG is rarer and requires early harvesting. This makes CBG scarce and more expensive, though it offers significant therapeutic properties similar to CBD, along with added benefits for the nervous system and digestion.

Midwest (Blue Label- EU Registered): Known as the ‘Queen of CBD,’ this strain is approved for the European market, with a THC content below 0.2% and high concentrations of CBD. CANNABOCA (Kombolti) is an exceptional strain of sativa cannabis cultivated outdoors in Thessaloniki using organic nutrients and without chemical additives. This popular variety has been developed through specialized genetic selection for over 20 years by renowned geneticist Professor Bócsa.
